CALM Train the Trainer (T4T) Virtual Workshop

CALM is Australia's leading Suicide Intervention Skills program, trusted for its hands-on, practical approach to suicide prevention. This 5-day program provides accredited suicide intervention training for professionals in mental health, social services, and community support sectors.

What You Will Learn

  • Day 1: Introduction to the CALM 1-day program (delivered virtually across two half-days) to gain insight from a participant’s perspective.
  • Day 2: In-depth exploration of the CALM model, covering the research and practice theories behind it.
  • Day 3: Free day (unless completing the combined CALM - CALM Care Train the Trainer program)
  • Day 4: Final practice and review, ensuring participants are prepared to deliver the programs with confidence.
  • Day 5: Practice session where participants present sections of CALM, receiving peer feedback.

What You Will Receive

  • Accreditation as a CALM trainer
  • Access to training manuals, PowerPoints, role-play scenarios, and promotional materials
  • Full access to the Be Safe and Be Calm apps
  • Ongoing support through various resources to assist in your training delivery

  • Be capable of delivering both CALM programs in-person or virtually
  • Be equipped to effectively communicate suicide prevention strategies
  • Gain confidence in their ability to engage and train others

  • CALM: $3,250 + GST
  • CALM & CALM Care Train the Trainer (Combined): $4,250 +GST
